Out of Her – But Got Her Life Back!
Through personal experience Kathy is aware of the victorious life available to anyone stuck in their addictions. After a ten-year struggle to stop her addiction to pain pills, she finally stopped the relapse cycle in 1990 and has not returned to her addiction. Nor does she need to attend support groups to remain clean.
Her life totally turned around when she began fulfilling her vision to develop a Christian-based crisis hotline. It was a project which used her passion in life (to love and help people in crisis) and it was a big enough vision to pull her out of the mind-set of “me, myself and I.” As a by-product of that activity, she overcame her addiction.
Kathy was a non-professional counselor on crisis hotlines for over 14 years, including developing her own hotline in the early to mid-1990s. She can identify with the deep emotional struggles people go through, as well as the stinking thinking and false beliefs they are stuck in. She especially understands the fears, apprehensions, and negative self-talk of addicts, from her own ten-year struggle to find a way out.
She was married to a former addict who, while he no longer abused alcohol, still operated in his old behaviors of being very manipulative, controlling, lying, blame-shifting, paranoid, egotistical (narcissistic), etc. So she knows what it is like to wake up one morning and realize your life was sucked out of you over the last two years. It took her a year to get her life back, as well as get the confidence to leave her husband. She has a special message of hope for wives of addicts, whether they decide to stay or leave.
Her recent outreaches include teaching these principles to addicts in rescue missions and in recovery homes who are transitioning from drug addictions to living their new life.
Since 1990 she has refined her process into the Biblical Roadmap to Freedom For a Higher Purpose™.

Her book My Friend Is an Addict – What Can I Do? Use the Roadmap Out of Addiction to Influence Your Friend And to Take Back Your Life (released in 2018) is written from the viewpoint of someone who has lived in both the shoes of an addict for ten years, and the wife of an ex-addict, narcissist who sucked the life out of her. And all the questions and decisions she had to struggle to make as a Christian.
She has been a Christian since 1980 and never stops studying the Bible. God has given her insights into the biblical principles that break through our problems, and the order in which to apply them for maximum success.
She encourages rehab facilities to utilize her book How To Stop Relapsing Study Guide to assist clients seeking a Christian perspective on how to overcome their addictions.
She is available to teach her Biblical Roadmap to Freedom For a Higher Purpose™ process to Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centers, which can be integrated into their current programs.
